VIVERE Suites & Rooms

Our commitment to the environment

Walking Lightly

VIVERE is committed to reducing its environmental impact through concrete, everyday choices. Geothermal energy, renewables, natural materials and constant care for the territory guide every decision we make, to preserve the beauty of Garda Trentino that surrounds us.

Energy & climate

Geothermal heating and cooling

A geothermal system powers underfloor heating in winter and cooling in summer, drastically reducing fossil energy consumption.

Solar and photovoltaic energy with storage

Solar and photovoltaic panels with battery storage allow us to produce and store clean energy. Surplus energy that is not used is fed back into the public grid.

100% green energy

All purchased energy comes from certified renewable sources.

LED lighting

The entire property uses high-efficiency LED lighting.

Electric vehicle charging

EV charging is available, including Tesla Destination Charging, to encourage more sustainable mobility.

Our results over 15 years of activity

From our opening in 2009 to today:

  • 2,014 MWh of green energy produced and used
  • 1,309 tonnes of CO₂ saved
  • 359 MWh of surplus energy fed into the public grid
  • Equivalent to the absorption capacity of 26,182 trees

Source breakdown (annual average):

  • Photovoltaic: 52,000 kWh
  • Solar thermal: 15,000 kWh
  • Geothermal: 35,000 kWh
  • Purchased green energy: 42,665 kWh
  • Annual total: 144,665 kWh of green energy

Water management

Low-impact Dryden pool system

Our pool uses the Dryden system, which drastically reduces water consumption and the use of chemicals compared to traditional systems.

Low-flow fittings

Installed in all suites to reduce water consumption without compromising comfort.

Linen change on request

During check-in, guests can choose how often they would like towels and bed linen to be changed, reducing unnecessary water and energy consumption.

Plastic & waste reduction

Gradual elimination of single-use plastic

We have started a programme to progressively eliminate plastic water bottles, straws and unnecessary packaging, replacing them with more sustainable alternatives.

Bathroom dispensers

Refillable body-care dispensers replace single-use mini bottles.

Strict waste separation

An integrated waste-management system helps maximize recycling and minimize landfill disposal.

Gardens & green spaces

Ecological management of gardens and olive grove

No pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Controlled irrigation and native plants that require less water.

Productive olive grove and vineyards

We produce olive oil and wine following agricultural practices that respect the land.

Protected biodiversity

Our green spaces support local wildlife and preserve the natural balance of the area.

Food & territory

Local and zero-kilometre products

We prioritise local, seasonal products and suppliers from Garda Trentino to reduce transport impact.

Kitchen garden on the property

We grow vegetables and herbs in our own gardens, which we use for breakfast and for selected preparations. A short cycle from soil to table, without transport and with guaranteed freshness.

Our own wine and olive oil

VIVERE’s vineyards and olive grove produce wine and olive oil served to our guests, closing the circle between land and table.

Vegetarian options

Our breakfast always includes a rich vegetarian selection, with a lower environmental impact than animal-based products.

People & community

Local collaborators

We prioritise collaborators who live nearby, reducing travel and supporting local employment.

Attention to team wellbeing

We believe sustainability also means decent working conditions, continuous training and a respectful environment.

Working with the territory

We work with local suppliers and support the Garda Trentino economy, giving value to local producers, artisans and professionals.

2030 goals

Our commitment continues. By 2030 we have set the following goals:

Energy & Climate

  • Reach energy self-sufficiency for at least 80% of annual demand
  • Increase storage capacity to further reduce energy drawn from the grid
  • Install additional EV charging points to encourage electric mobility

Water

  • Reduce overall water consumption by 30% compared to current levels
  • Implement rainwater recovery and reuse systems for irrigation

Waste

  • Zero single-use plastic throughout the property
  • Reach 90% waste separation
  • Compost organic waste from gardens and kitchen

Own Production

  • Expand the kitchen gardens to increase self-production of vegetables and herbs
  • Reach 30% of self-produced ingredients used for breakfast

Biodiversity

  • Create areas dedicated to native flora to support pollinators and local wildlife
  • Install nest boxes and bat boxes to support the local ecosystem

Education & Engagement

  • Offer guests the possibility to visit the gardens and learn about our sustainable practices
  • Share our environmental data publicly through transparent annual reports

Our commitment continues

Walking lightly means making choices every day. We do not claim perfection, but we work consistently to reduce our impact. The numbers tell the story of a path that began 15 years ago and will continue with ever more ambitious goals. Because the beauty around us deserves respect, care and responsibility.
